TREASURER’S REPORT

·Treasurer’s report was made by Kim Englert.Balance: $7,235.07

·All assessments have been paid 

COACHES REPORT 

·Coach K discussed the myriad of off-season wrestling opportunities available to our wrestlers

·Camp recommendations/discussions were tabled until the April meeting.

·Congratulations to State Wrestlers : Tom Parks (1st), Jake Herbert (2nd) and Eric Cassidy (8th) 

·North Allegheny finished 5th in the State team standings 

·Coach Jamie Kyriazis was named Coach of the Year

JUNIOR WRESTLING

·The MAWA Tournament was held on Sunday, March 17, 2002 at NAI .Thanks to all who helped at this tournament.

NA 2002: THE ODYSSEY CONTINUES

·Thanks to all who helped at the Tournament.Special thanks to Mary Polley and her kitchen staff and to Mo and Karen Morrison for their after tournament hospitality. 

·There are still several outstanding expenses to be paid for the tournament

NA WRESTLING BANQUET

·The Wrestling Banquet will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 atWildwood Country Club 

·All invitations have been mailed, be sure to RSVP

COACHES EMPLOYMENT MATTERS

·Chuck Gutilla and Tom Kessinger were at the NA Board's recent working session and both

spoke on behalf of our "plea" to get our coaches hired in the NA School District.We need as many others as possible to indicate their support at this time.This includes parents, students,
alumni and the "Friends of Wrestling".We are asking all who are concerned to send an e-mail to
the Board.They can be sent to Rose Mary Ryan at rryan@northallegheny.org, who will then forward them on to the Board.This is an urgent matter and the future of our wrestling program hangs in the balance. 

 

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

·Motion was made (and passed) to split all MAWA revenues between the Cawley family and Teague Moore.The Cawley family is in need of any and all help you can offer at this time.Please contact Tom Englert if you can offer any assistance (412) 366-7753.Alumni wrestler, Teague Moore is making a bid to represent the US in the upcoming Olympics.Please contact Tom Kessinger if you can help support Teague in reaching his goal.
